Good morning! or Evening - or whenever it might be your time....   It is now July 1, 2019 - and I am retired!

Thank you all for your visits - by the end of the summer (of 2019), there will be a lot more posts.

I am amazed that there are viewers from Russia, the Netherlands, France, UK, US, Ireland, Nigeria, Spain, Germany, Egypt, Ukraine and more accumulating to over 6,400 views since 2011.

.....all the photographs on this site, were taken with my iPhone - nature is always my inspiration - it gives a natural pallet of hues and colors - and really cannot be surpassed ......

My sons bought me oil paints for my birthday in 2010, and have painted ever since - with all different media.  I did take watercolor lessons as a young child, however, I could never paint anything realistic - or in recognizable shapes like sheep or horses, or houses, etc.  I can't draw worth a flip - but love color and shapes.....

I sometimes wonder what you see when you look at this blog?

I shall assume that you enjoy getting lost in these images - and would encourage you to share them.....

OK, this is a watercolor, however, this is the first time I played a little with Pixelmater program - and played a little with the trees at the top - o well - somehow it seemed to work for this one...

This painting was sold to a famous violinist - for a song - it is acrylic - painted 0n June 19th of 2011 - just a play with trees - wondering how well do we take care of our forest - a side note - my sons took away all my blue and green paints one day - because they said that I don't have any imagination of color! - they actually did me a favor.....  they inspire me on a regular basis -

This was done in the summer of 2015 - it is a monograph - an interesting process - like finger-painting - a concept that can be carried into almost any medium.....   with a bit of planning...

Today's eclipse - such a strange moment in time - a small reflection of a very powerful sun and moon...... if you look at it full screen, you will see the small crescent like shapes -

lighting is sometimes the key to perceiving all that is in a painting - from another angle, this looks entirely different..... Look for "waterworld" under August 2016 - then you will be amazed, but yes, it is the same painting.....  have a wonderful day.....

Nature - a photo

Nature .... not a painting - but a real work of art..... actually what you are looking at, is in the foreground the marsh, the next section that you may mistake for "water" is the mud from the low tide, and then the water starts - and it is just the reflection in the water at that point, the sky is not in the picture....
